What is Amazon Global Selling?
Amazon Global Selling is an e-commerce exports program that enables Indian MSMEs, entrepreneurs, and exporters to sell their Indian products to international consumers across the world on 18+ Amazon global marketplaces.
How does Amazon Global Selling work?
Amazon Global Selling is an e-commerce exports program that enables Indian exporters like you to register and sell on 18 Amazon global marketplaces in North America (the US, Canada, and Mexico), Europe (Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands, Poland, Turkey, and the UK), Middle East (the UAE, Saudi Arabia), and Asia-Pacific (Japan, Singapore, and Australia). All you have to do is register your business with Amazon Global Selling by sharing a few KYC documents and a debit or credit card (international transactions enabled). Once registered, you can list your products on any of the global marketplaces and start exporting.
What export products can I sell on Amazon international marketplaces?
An Indian exporter can sell a range of products on Amazon global marketplaces across 30+ categories. Some of the product categories that Indian exporters can sell through Amazon Global Selling are:

• Home textile: Bedsheets, kitchen linen, home décor, pillow covers, curtains, carpets, rugs
• Apparel: Men’s garments, womenswear, kid's fashion, ethnic wear like salwar suits, kurta, lehenga, silk saree
• Jewellery: Fashion and fine jewellery
• Leather: Wallets, bags, footwear, accessories
• Health and personal care: Bath towels, home care, toiletries, essential oils
• Consumables: Tea, spices like black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon, coffee
• Ayurveda: Organic products, Health supplements, medical items, food and dietary supplements

Each product category may require separate licenses and documents, specific to the region of export, origin country and shipping mode. You can use Amazon’s third-party Service Provider Network for assistance in export compliance.
How can I start selling internationally on Amazon global marketplaces?
You can export from India easily with Amazon Global Selling. All you have to do is:
• Select the product you want to sell and the marketplace you want to sell in
• Register with Amazon Global Selling
• List your products on Amazon global marketplaces
• Ship your products either by yourself through Merchant Fulfilled Network (MFN) or Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) where Amazon handles shipping for you.

What do I need to register as a seller on Amazon?
To register with Amazon Global Selling, you need:
• Email address and mobile number
• ID proof (Aadhaar, passport, or driving license)
• Credit or debit card (international transactions enabled)
• Business address proof (Bank or credit card statement)
In addition to this, you might need a few other documents and licences depending on your destination country and product category. For instance, you need VAT document to export to Europe. Amazon has a list of trusted third party service providers who can help you in getting required export documentation. I don’t have a Amazon India seller account. Can I still sell on other Amazon marketplaces?
Yes, you do not need an Amazon India seller account to sell globally. Simply register and create a seller account in any or all of the 18 Amazon global marketplaces you want to sell your products in. Amazon supports you at every step of your exports journey.
I am already selling on Amazon.in and have a seller central account. How can I sell globally with Amazon?
If you are already selling on amazon.in, all you need to do is decide the country you want to sell in and simply follow the steps mentioned in the ‘Sell Globally’ section on Seller Central.
How is Amazon facilitating payments?
Amazon ensures that the amount gets credited in your preferred bank account & in your preferred currency (INR, USD, GBP, EUR, YEN, AED, etc.).

Export documents and logistics

Are there any country or marketplace compliance and license requirements? If so, does Amazon provide any assistance for this?
To export from India, sellers have to obtain certain export documents and comply with regulations. Export documents and compliance depends on the product category, origin (India) and destination country. To make your export journey easy, Amazon supports you by providing guidance on the key requirements and regulations, and connects you with experts who will assist you in obtaining your documentation through the Exports Compliance Dashboard.
What are the documentation requirements to sell and ship globally?
You need Importer Exporter Code (IEC), Authorized Dealer (AD) code from a bank, KYC documents, product and shipping-specific documentation, among others. If your product requires additional documentation like FDA certificate for health, beauty and grocery products, CPC for toys, you might need to obtain that before exporting. You also need destination country-specific documentation to export to a few countries (Eg: Europe VAT).
I don’t have export documentation. How can I get this documentation done for my business?
You can get in touch with our taxation and compliance service providers who help you with documentation required for export. To make your export journey easy, Amazon supports you by providing guidance on the key requirements and regulations, and connects you with experts who will assist you in obtaining your documentation through the Exports Compliance dashboard.
How do I avail Amazon partnered carriers for my logistics requirements?
Once registered with Amazon Global Selling, you can choose to ship by yourself or via third party logistics providers under Merchant Fulfilled Network (MFN) or you can opt for Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) where Amazon handles end-to-end logistics — packing, shipping, delivery, and returns. If you opt for FBA, you can use Amazon Global Selling SEND — a cross-border carrier shipping solution that enables you to send your inventory from India to fulfillment centers in the US in a cost-effective manner. Once the partnered carrier picks up your shipment, they will handle the end-to-end shipping process, including customs. You can opt to have the shipment picked up from your doorstep or you can drop the shipment at carrier’s drop-off point.
I don't want to use Amazon partnered carriers to manage both my logistics to international customers and international Amazon warehouses? Can I use my own carriers for the same?
Yes, you can use your own carriers to manage your logistics directly to international customers as well as Amazon warehouses.
Do I get shipment insurance with carriers at Amazon negotiated rates?
No, shipment insurance is not included in Amazon negotiated rates. If you want, you can avail shipment insurance directly with the carriers. They will guide you on the process for the same.
What if I don't get good service or have feedback or an escalation with the Amazon partnered carriers for logistics?
For any feedback or escalation with carriers, please get in touch with us on global-fba-azn@amazon.com, and we will look into it and take appropriate action.

Managing your account

How do I list my products on Amazon global marketplaces?
You can use our web-based interface to list your products one at a time or excel-based inventory files to list in bulk. The procedure and information required will vary depending on whether your products are already in the Amazon marketplace catalogue. Amazon global seller support is also available to guide you with the needful. You can choose to avail the listing services from Service Provider Network as well.
How do I manage my international orders on Amazon?
You can view your orders and manage them through “Manage Order” on Amazon Seller Central. If you are use FBA, your orders will be fulfilled and shipped by Amazon. If you choose to store and deliver your products on your own, you need to pack and ship products to customers and then confirm to the customer about the shipment through your Seller Central account.
How can I list a product that do not have barcodes?
If the product you sell does not have a barcode or a Global Trade Item Number (GTIN), you can request a GTIN exemption to sell your products on Amazon. Once we have reviewed and approved your application, you will be able to list your products.

Do you offer protection against fraud?
Yes. Amazon helps you protect against fraudulent orders placed on your products. Amazon Global Selling customer care team takes care of the customers’ queries as well.
Can customers leave feedback and why is customer feedback important?
Yes. Customers can leave feedback on your product listings. Maintaining a high feedback rating is a critical factor for success on Amazon. It’s the best way for customers to identify you as a trustworthy seller. Positive reviews on Amazon marketplaces improves your rating on the Offer Listing Page and that is one of the first things customers see. We have observed that customers are more likely to purchase products from sellers with higher ratings. Your feedback rating is a key metric used by Amazon to measure your performance.
