How to check the status of your e-BRC on the DGFT website
Documentation is a crucial part of exports. Among a list of compliance and documents, electronic Bank Realization Certificate (e-BRC) is an important one. It serves as proof that the exporter has received payment from the importer for goods or services exported. Under Foreign Trade Policy, there are several benefits or incentives for exporters that can be availed upon the submission of BRC as proof of export1.

How to check the status of your e-BRC from DGFT?

To check the status of your e-BRC, follow the following steps2:

1. Visit the DGFT’s website and navigate to the ‘Services-eBRC’ section.
2. Choose ‘View and print your eBRC’ from the available options. You will be directed to the ‘e-BRC Details for Trade’ page.
3. Enter your IEC code and the IFSC Code of your bank (ensure that the IFSC code you share is from the bank where you receive payment from your importer).
4. Click on ‘show details’. All your e-BRCs status will be displayed.
5. If needed, select individual e-BRCs and click ’Print’.

Overall, eBRC plays a crucial role in international trade by providing transparency, ensuring compliance, and enabling exporters to access various benefits and financial opportunities.
