Delivered at Place (DAP): Meaning and definition

When goods are ‘Delivered at Place’, an exporter is responsible for all shipping expenses, including packing, unloading and any damages or losses that may occur in route during shipping to the agreed-upon destination. In this process, the importer is responsible to pay any import duties, as well as any local taxes and clearance charges, once the goods have arrived at the destination. In 2010, the ICC included DAP to the incoterms system.
