Which product categories do manufacturers cater to?
Currently, you can find manufacturers for apparel, kitchen, home linen, furniture, luggage, home improvement. Manufacturing Central will keep working towards enabling new manufacturers in above categories and/or manufacturers engaged in new product categories. Please visit the MFC portal to view the updated list of manufacturers and categories.
Are these manufacturers vetted?
We conduct preliminary checks (including registration information, factory details, certifications and capabilities etc.) before allowing manufacturers’ details to be listed on Manufacturing Central. However, please note that Amazon is not responsible for verifying or monitoring the accuracy of details provided by these manufacturers or any updates provided by them. We recommend you independently verify the details provided by the manufacturers and conduct necessary due diligence regarding certifications, capabilities, and other requirements that are necessary for fulfilling your product order(s).
What is the lead time required by manufacturers to fulfill my requests/orders?
Lead times will depend on the specific manufacturer. You can connect with your choice of manufacturers directly to discuss the business and business terms of your requests/orders. All commercial discussions and transactions must be settled outside of Manufacturing Central. Amazon is not responsible or liable for any such activities.
What will the payment and business terms be for my requests/orders?
Your orders with manufacturers and related payments cannot be made on Manufacturing Central. Payment and business terms can be determined by you and the manufacturer outside Manufacturing Central. Amazon or Manufacturing Central will have no visibility on or responsibility for any commercial discussions or transactions between you and the manufacturer.
How will I know the status of my requests/orders?
Your orders with manufacturers cannot be placed on Manufacturing Central, and you can check the status of your order directly with the manufacturer. Manufacturing Central also enables manufacturers to update order status on the portal. You can view them under the ‘Manage Requests’ tab. Please note that status updates by manufacturers are made available on Manufacturing Central on an 'as-is' basis and are not verified by Amazon.
