How to get approval to sell products from a restricted category?

On Amazon, it is best for sellers if customers can freely shop with confidence. Therefore, to maintain a high quality bar, certain products and categories on Amazon might require additional fees, performance checks and other qualifications. As mentioned in our previous post on how to sell restricted products on Amazon, these categories require sellers to obtain approval from Amazon before listing or adding products to their online store.

To request approval, a seller can follow the steps mentioned below:

In Seller Central, click the inventory link and select Add a Product.
Run a search for the item that you wish to sell.
In the search results, click the Listing limitations and apply link across from the item.
Click the Request Approval button to begin the application process.
To check the status of an application, return to the Add a Product tool and click on the Selling application status link located towards the top of the page.
Once your approval request is submitted, it will go through a quick verification process. In certain cases, the application gets auto approved. However, in case for some reason your application is rejected, you can get in touch with the Seller Support team, understand what you may have missed and then reapply.

If you cannot find the category that you are looking for, you should contact Seller Support to help and assist you. Currenlty the categories listed below require approval. If you would like to sell in one of these categories, click on the category name and follow the instructions mentioned above to submit your application.
