Introducing Amazon’s "I Have Space" initiative

"I Have Space" Program is here to collaborate with local storeowners and add extra earnings to your regular income.

In order to help local stores increase their reach, two years ago, Amazon India launched the ‘’I Have Space’’ program. This unique initiative helps Amazon collaborate with local storeowners and add extra earnings to their regular income while also increase footfalls to their local shops.

Today, over 13,000 local stores across 65 different cities deliver products to customers within a 2 – 4 kilometre radius of their store which helps add more to their regular earnings. On an average, Amazon India’s store partners deliver between 20 to 30 packages a day, earning a fixed fee per delivery. Several of these stores also double up as pick-up points and receive deliveries on behalf of customers. The local entrepreneurs understand their area well and have immense goodwill in their neighbourhood to efficiently deliver and receive products. And by signing up for the following services:

In the past couple of years, Amazon’s growth as a trustworthy household name has managed to build a strong connection amongst these store owners. Talking about how this initiative has transformed his life, Mr. Nagaranjan who owns Selvam stores in Adambakkam, Chennail said “After working in the private sector for around two decades I decided to start my own business and set up a grocery store. Because of the locality and inexperience in my business, I struggled for a few months. With 3 girls and 1 boy to support, my family was in deep financial struggle. I am now an I Have Space store partner and have doubled my income. I do my deliveries in the afternoon while my wife takes care of the store during this lean time of the day. I am excited to partner with Amazon on this initiative which has helped fulfil all my expectations. “

This program currently covers more than 65 cities including Amritsar, Jodhpur, Ajmer, Kota, Vadodara, Bharuch, Nasik, Kolhapur, Belgaum, Tirupur, Warrangal, Vellore, Salem, Guntur, Raipur, Agra and Dehradun in addition to all large metros. This program handles a significant proportion of Amazon Logistics’ volumes in cities where it is present and is instrumental in helping sellers grow their business rapidly.
