Duty Drawback Scheme


Get refund on customs duties paid on inputs used in exported products.

What is it?
This central scheme refunds customs/excise duties paid on raw materials used to manufacture exported goods. It helps exporters—especially small brands—offset costs and stay price-competitive globally.
Eligibility
Any exporter (manufacturer or merchant), including e-commerce exporters, who files proper shipping bills with Duty Drawback claim indicated.
How to avail?
Declare the claim while filing your shipping bill via ICEGATE (Indian Customs EDI Gateway). Courier exports is eligible from September 2024 with valid documentation.

RoDTEP (Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products)
Get duty credit on hidden costs like power, fuel, and logistics that aren't refunded elsewhere.
What is it?
RoDTEP reimburses embedded taxes (like electricity duty, fuel surcharge) included in export cost. These credits can be used against future customs payments.
Eligibility Criteria
Exporters with a valid IEC exporting products under notified HS codes. Applicable for physical and e-commerce exports.
How to avail?
Mention RoDTEP during shipping bill filing via ICES system (select the RoDTEP option). Courier exports is eligible from September 2024.

Rajasthan Export Promotion Policy (REPP)

Get up to 75%* reimbursement on certifications, marketing, and tech upgrades.
What is it?
REPP supports Rajasthan-registered exporters by reimbursing costs for digital ads, participation in trade fairs, certifications, and tech enablement. Reimburses 75%* of the total fees charged by e-commerce platforms engaged in exports, up to a maximum limit of ₹2 lakh per unit/exporter* will be provided for a maximum of 2 years through e-commerce.
Eligibility Criteria
Exporters with IEC and business registration in Rajasthan. Applicable for both B2B and e-commerce exports.
How to avail?
Submit physical application to your District Industries Centre (DIC) with proof of payment, invoices, shipping details, and registration.

REPP Policy PDF
RoSCTL (Rebate of State and Central Taxes and Levies)
Avail embedded tax refunds on apparel and textile exports.
What is it?
RoSCTL reimburses indirect taxes (not covered under GST) like electricity duty, fuel tax, and mandi tax, for apparel and made-up textiles.
Eligibility Criteria
Exporters in apparel/made-up segments with valid IEC and shipping bills.
How to avail?
Apply via the DGFT portal post-export. Rebate is given as a transferable scrip (credit note).
RoSCTL Notification
Interest equalization scheme
Lower your export loan interest by up to 5%*.

What is it?
This scheme subsidizes interest rates (3% for non-MSMEs, 5% for MSMEs*) on export-related credit to make borrowing cheaper.
Eligibility Criteria
MSMEs and eligible exporters (as notified by DGFT), with UIN (Unique Identification Number) issued by their bank.
How to avail?
While taking pre- or post-shipment export credit, request your bank to apply the interest subvention. The bank will claim reimbursement from the RBI.

EPCG Scheme (Export Promotion Capital Goods)
Import machinery duty-free to scale your export production.
What is it?
EPCG allows to import capital goods at zero customs duty if you commit to an export obligation (6x the duty saved within 6 years*). Ideal for scaling production.
Eligibility Criteria
Exporters in manufacturing/services (including those exporting via e-commerce).
How to avail?
Apply online through the DGFT portal. Submit a detailed project report and export obligation plan.

SHEFEXIL Support Schemes
Promotes export of forest products like lac, gums, herbs.



What is it?
SHEFEXIL offers support under schemes like MAI (Market Access Initiative), certification reimbursement, and transport assistance for forest-based product exporters.
Eligibility Criteria
Exporters of products like shellac, guar gum, and herbs. Must register with SHEFEXIL.
How to avail?
Register as a member via SHEFEXIL portal, apply under the relevant scheme with shipping and payment documents.

What is it?
APEDA provides financial assistance for infrastructure, quality testing, packaging, and international marketing for agri-product exporters.
Eligibility
Exporters of scheduled products. Must be APEDA-registered.
How to avail?
Register at apeda.gov.in, then apply for relevant schemes by uploading export, GST, and participation proofs.

GST Refund Mechanisms for Exporters
Facilitates refund of GST on exports through ITC and IGST mechanisms, ensuring zero-rating and improved cash flow for exporters.
What is it?
The GST framework allows exporters to claim refunds of taxes paid on inputs or on exports themselves, ensuring exports remain zero-rated and internationally competitive. Two primary mechanisms are available: Input Tax Credit (ITC) refunds and IGST refunds on exports.
Eligibility
1. Exporters registered under GST.
2. Must file accurate GST returns and maintain proper documentation (shipping bills, export invoices, LUT if applicable).

Important Points for New Exporters:

1. Keep shipping bills, invoices, and GST returns updated and error-free.

2. Evaluate cash flow before choosing refund route:

LUT route: No upfront tax outflow, better cash flow management.

IGST route: Refunds are faster.
How to avail?
Exports of goods and services will be treated as zero rated supplies. The exporter has the option either to export under bond/Letter of Undertaking without payment of tax and claim refund of ITC or pay IGST by utilizing ITC or in cash at the time of export and claim refund of IGST paid.

Brand bonus
Up to $52,500 in credits
What is it?
Earn bonus credits on branded sales. Get 10% back on your first $50,000 and 5% on the next $950,000 when you are the first brand owner to complete Brand Registry.
Eligibility
Available to sellers who are registering their brand for the first time on the US marketplace through Amazon Brand Registry and launch a buyable ASIN.
How to avail?
Enroll in Brand Registry and launch a buyable ASIN. Bonus is auto-applied and visible in your NSI dashboard.
Validity
Valid until the maximum credit limit ($52,500) is reached or 1 year from incentive credit, whichever is earlier. Bonus applies only once per brand.

$400 in inbound placement fee credits
What is it?
Get $400 credit for inbound placement costs, allowing you to send inventory to a single fulfillment center and then have Amazon split and send inventory to multiple fulfillment centers.
Eligibility
Send eligible products into the Amazon fulfillment network within 90 days of listing. Credit expires after one year.
How to avail?
Ship inventory to Amazon FCs within 90 days of listing your first ASIN. Credits are applied automatically and shown in your fee summary.
Validity
Valid for shipments made within 90 days of your first buyable ASIN listing.

What is it?
Amazon waives the $200 enrollment fee for the Vine Program to help you gather early customer reviews for new ASINs.
Eligibility
Enroll your brand in Amazon Brand Registry within six months of listing your first eligible product, then enroll a product in Vine within 90 days.
How to avail?
Enroll ASINs in the Vine Program via Seller Central → Advertising → Vine. Fee waiver applies automatically 5 days after you receive the credits.

Credit expires 90 days after enrollment in Brand Registry

What is it?
Get up to $1000 in ad credits when you launch and spend on Sponsored Products within 30 days after launching. Help customers find your products by quickly creating ads that appear in related search results and product pages.

Available to sellers launching their first Sponsored Products campaign within 30 days of listing a buyable ASIN.
How to avail?
Create a Sponsored Products campaign through Campaign Manager. Credit is auto-applied.
Validity
Credit is valid for 30 days after issuance.

What is it?
Get $50 in fee credits when you activate the Coupons tool and create your first coupon within 90 days of launching your first ASIN.
Eligibility
Available to new sellers activating the Coupons feature within 90 days of launching your first ASIN.
How to avail?
Go to Seller Central → Advertising → Coupons to set up your first coupon. Credits apply automatically to your first $50 in coupon fees.
Validity
Valid for 90 days from the date of your first ASIN listing.

FBA new selection program
10% rebate + ₹0 storage & return fees
What is it?
Offers an average 10% rebate on sales of new-to-FBA ASINs, free monthly storage for up to 100 units for 120 days, waived return processing fees, and free liquidations for a limited time.
Eligibility
Available to sellers who enroll in the FBA New Selection Program and launch new parent ASINs that are new to FBA.
How to avail?
Enroll in the program via Seller Central. List eligible new parent ASINs under FBA to receive benefits automatically.
Validity
Program benefits apply for 90 to 120 days from the first inventory-received date, depending on ASIN type and size.
